Wee Kee Jin Push Hands Workshop Subscription
FAQ & MENU

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How is this subscription different from the Wee Kee Jin 1 year workshop subscription?
A: This Push Hands subscription assumes that you are already familiar with the essential stationary exercises and 37 Yang form that are the basis of this Master Huang Yang style, hence moves quickly over that ground . So the emphasis is on integrating what is already familiar with the aim of bringing that into the Master Huang partner work system.  Also there are more videos & content in this subscription that provide additional valuable insight into the Taiji process.
Q: Do I get access to Wee Kee Jin directly?

A: Possibly, I am currently in negotiations with Kee Jin to arrange this. But in the meantime you are getting unfiltered access to Wee Kee Jin's vast, insightful and practical knowledge, teachings & guidance usually reserved for for his long-term "internal" students.
Q: Can I download, copy, distribute, edit, sell or use these videos for my private learning, sharing, commercial or other purposes?
A: No, that is "stealing", these are my copyrighted, original private documentations of my teacher's Brisbane workshops which I have proprietary rights & retain control over.  What you do get is access to studying & practicing along with these videos whilst you are subscribed as a paid member.
Q: Is this a type of course where I can complete and get some sort of "certification?"
A: No, you've got it all wrong if you believe that learning Taiji can be approached with a "qualifications" type of mentality. This is pure Taiji wisdom and knowledge that can only be taken advantage of through accurate & dedicated practice. Having said that, there is a wealth of Taiji knowledge & guidance contained in these videos that you can practice for your whole lifetime.  And one insight alone can greatly improve your Taiji.
Q: After having been a paid subscriber can I  get fast-tracked into being taught by Wee Kee Jin in person  (attend his workshops etc)?
A: It's possible (currently negotiating) - if you give video proof of your progress and if Kee Jin agrees, it may be possible to attend his private live-in residential workshops. At the moment I can put you in contact with one of WKJ's senior instructors & from that trusted, regular in-person student-teacher relationship it may be possible to attend WKJs' workshops or begin learning from a trusted teacher.
Q: I want to be good at pushing hands but I am a novice to Taiji should I pay my hard-earned cash to join this subscription?
A: I wouldn't advise it, this workshop is for more advanced Taiji students who ideally are already familiar with the Huang Sheng Shyan Yang Style. If you already have a background in Taiji & want to get a grounding into Wee Kee Jin's teachings then subscribe to my "Wee Kee Jin 1 year membership and practice dedicatedly first (ideally for several years) before learning from these videos.  The more advanced, dedicated & open-minded you are, the more you will get from these teachings.
Q: I'm worried about missing out by not understanding every word that WKJ is speaking because of his "accent" or the occasional low video volume, are there any "subtitles"?
A: No there aren't any subtitles but as with anyone attending a workshop in person,
the visual cues (watching & emulating his movements demonstrated carefully) are just as important as catching all the words.  Patience in understanding takes repeated watching, listening, practice & reflection. And the processes of movements are consistent throughout the teachings so the concepts are constantly repeated in other videos etc.  However, if you are concerned, I strongly recommend (as there are no refunds) that before purchasing a membership you should try the FREE Wee Kee Jin Workshop video lessons to help you decide.
Q: Will I be drip-fed the lessons?
A: No, you can access all the videos at your leisure.
