Mr. Joo Hoo Lee is one of those rare practitioners who has successfully transitioned from being a "hard style" martial arts practitioner to really understanding and being able to apply the "internal/soft" style of martial arts - in particular this Master Huang Sheng Shyan Yang Style Taiji. Most "hard style" martial arts practitioners who learn, practice and teach Taiji after their "hard style" background do not transition successfully, they usually just end up interpreting Taiji through their "gung fu" perspective because the difference in approach is so radical.
Mr. Joo Hoo Lee's background includes having had more than 20 years experience in Goju- ryu Karatedo, Opera House Wing Chun, Southern Praying Mantis Qi Gung & Gung Fu, Ming Bhe Quan aka Whooping Crane Gung Fu. And from 2000 began his Taiji journey with the late Master Ren (who was a direct student of Master Huang) and Yek Gong (who was Master Huang's son-in-law & is the current Head of the Huang Si Taiji Quan School in Malaysia).
Mr. Lee says that these: "Basic Taiji Preliminary Taiji Exercises for stretching prior to practising the 37 or 108 Taiji forms. Very good for loosening & stretching the spinal cord, the ' kua' aka pelvic bone, knees, shoulders, elbows, etc., etc. "
