One of my students reminded me of one of the reasons we spend time and enjoy practice. That is, no matter how old you are, or whether you are burdened by the daily aches, stiffness, sluggishness, and pains of your body that stop you from enjoying life more & serve to remind you that you are no longer young; when we experience the "chi" flowing freely - that is, when we are getting most of "it" right in practice - we experience "freedom" again. Being in the flow & guiding it with your mind, whilst being grounded, just like a good musician experiencing freedom immersed in the moment of an improvisational or well-practiced, imprinted solo - we feel young & free again for those moments. In the comfort of our own home, at any time of our choosing. A healthy addiction.
