An obvious thing to say perhaps but years ago I marveled at how my teacher could make something (neutralizing in roll-back pair work) work so effortlessly and really apply the concept of "wu-wei" in the pressure of a double-handed oncoming force towards your centre. And even though he explained how it was done and what I should practice I couldn't imagine that I'd be able to get all the elements right and synchronized to boot. Fast forward after several years of steady, enjoyable and good quality practice, it's still a difficult move to execute but making it work whilst being relaxed and mindful of the correct principles comes far more easily, and best of all, practice allows you to remain calm whilst neutralizing an incoming force.
